    Online Tool for Validating Mangrove Distribution Data Ready
    he United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP ) World Conservation Monitoring Centre has developed an online tool for validating mangrove spatial distribution data within the Canary Current Large Marine Ecosystem (CCLME). In developing the tool, CCLME worked with partners Wetlands International and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature on the integration of spatial data relevant to mangroves of the CCLME region.

    Regional ecosystem survey in the CCLME area from 20 October to 21 December 2011 from Guinea to Morocco
    The Project on the "Protection of the Canary Current Large Marine Ecosystem" (CCLME) will organize in close collaboration with the project "Strenghtehning the knowledge base for implementing an ecosystem approach to marine fisheries in developing countries" (EAF-NANSEN), both projects implemented by FAO, a regional ecosystem survey, on board Dr FRIDJTOF NANSEN, in the CCLME area from 20 october to 21 december 2011.
